Research interests include:
(1) dissecting how neurotrophin secretion is regulated by neuronal activity and controls synaptic plasticity
(2) investigating neurotrophin-mediated neuron-glia interaction and its physiological roles in normal or diseased brain circuits.
Experience includes measuring neural activities with electrophysiology & fluorescence imaging tools using acute brain slices and cultured cells & utilizing molecular biology tools for cloning/manipulating/delivering targeted genes.
